Buying or selling a home
We strongly recommend that you have any contract checked before you sign it. It is at this time that your rights and obligations under the contract can be explained. Any special conditions you require can be added to the contract to protect your interest, for example, making the contract subject to a pest inspection/building report and council approvals being in place. At Just Legal we order all necessary documents and searches on the same day we receive your instructions. The firm will attend to all necessary steps on your behalf until settlement of the transaction. At Just Legal we ensure the best interests for you whilst ensuring settlement takes place in a timely manner.

  Buying or selling a business
Again we strongly recommend that a Solicitors check the contract before you sign so that we can review the lease, advise you of any licenses or consent required, advise you of any trade restrains, advise you on GST issues, Advise you on any other matters that may affect the purchase or sale of the business and much more.

On a personal level when purchasing a business, we always try to minimise the risk, take into account the following considerations:

  • insist that all-important representations made to you by the seller or agents are put in writing;
  • check as many of the statements and claims that you can;
  • get independent advice from appropriate people (for example, your solicitor, accountant, or suppliers to the business); and
  • make sure that you do your best to understand the information you receive

So if you are selling or buying a residential or commercial property do not hesitate to contact our firm and speak with an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor.
